Absolutely fantastic service. I had a flat tyre and was given this company’s card by the AA, so I called at around 6:45 pm to explain what I needed.

He gave me the option of coming out that evening or the following morning. As I’m a teacher and needed my car ready for work the next day, I asked if he could come that evening. He offered 8:30 pm, which worked perfectly for me. I also explained that I had to leave the car parked on the road because my house doesn’t have a parking space, and he immediately reassured me that this wasn’t a problem.

He actually arrived around 8:20 pm, replaced two tyres, and took the old tyres away with him. The whole process was straightforward and professional, and I was safely back on the road that evening.

What really stood out to me, though, was how kind, patient, and reassuring he was. I’m originally from Texas and am still getting used to how things work in the UK, especially when it comes to what you’re supposed to do when something goes wrong with your car. I had quite a few questions about what the protocol was in an emergency situation, and he took the time to answer every single one with genuine compassion and empathy. He never made me feel silly for asking questions, and that meant a lot when I was already stressed about having a flat tyre.

It’s one thing to provide a service; it’s another to make someone feel genuinely looked after when they’re stranded and unsure of what to do. He did exactly that.

The communication, flexibility, professionalism, and kindness were all excellent. I would absolutely use this service again and would recommend them to anyone who needs mobile or emergency tyre assistance.

Do you balance the wheel after fitting a new tyre?

Yes. A new tyre is balanced before the wheel goes back on, so you don't get vibration through the steering or the seat at speed. If a wheel still doesn't balance properly, that usually points to damage to the wheel itself, and we'll show you what we've found.

Can you check my wheel alignment as well?

We do offer wheel alignment alongside tyre fitting. What's possible at your location depends on the space and the ground, so mention it when you call and we'll tell you what we can do there and whether it's better done separately. Uneven wear across a tyre's tread is usually the first sign alignment needs looking at.

How do I know when my tyres need replacing?

The legal minimum tread in the UK is 1.6 mm across the central three quarters of the tyre, all the way round, but grip in the wet drops off well before that. A quick check is the 20p test: put a 20p coin in the main tread grooves, and if you can see the outer band of the coin, the tread is getting low and the tyres should be checked. Also look for cracking in the rubber, bulges, or wear that's heavier on one edge than the other.

I've got two flat tyres, or the car isn't drivable. Can you still come?

Yes for tyres: tell us when you call and we'll bring more than one, since the van carries a range of sizes. If the car has other damage, for example from a kerb strike or a pothole that's affected the suspension or the wheel itself, fitting a tyre won't make it safe to drive. In that case we'll tell you honestly and you'll need recovery rather than a tyre fitter.
