Absolutely fantastic service. I had a flat tyre and was given this company’s card by the AA, so I called at around 6:45 pm to explain what I needed.

He gave me the option of coming out that evening or the following morning. As I’m a teacher and needed my car ready for work the next day, I asked if he could come that evening. He offered 8:30 pm, which worked perfectly for me. I also explained that I had to leave the car parked on the road because my house doesn’t have a parking space, and he immediately reassured me that this wasn’t a problem.

He actually arrived around 8:20 pm, replaced two tyres, and took the old tyres away with him. The whole process was straightforward and professional, and I was safely back on the road that evening.

What really stood out to me, though, was how kind, patient, and reassuring he was. I’m originally from Texas and am still getting used to how things work in the UK, especially when it comes to what you’re supposed to do when something goes wrong with your car. I had quite a few questions about what the protocol was in an emergency situation, and he took the time to answer every single one with genuine compassion and empathy. He never made me feel silly for asking questions, and that meant a lot when I was already stressed about having a flat tyre.

It’s one thing to provide a service; it’s another to make someone feel genuinely looked after when they’re stranded and unsure of what to do. He did exactly that.

The communication, flexibility, professionalism, and kindness were all excellent. I would absolutely use this service again and would recommend them to anyone who needs mobile or emergency tyre assistance.

Letchworth questions

Which parts of Letchworth and Baldock do you cover?

Do you replace the valve when you fit a new tyre?

Yes. On a standard wheel we fit a new rubber valve with every new tyre, because an old valve can perish and leak long before the tread wears out. If your car has tyre pressure sensors in the wheels, we replace the seals and service parts rather than the whole sensor, unless the sensor itself has failed.

My wheel is stuck and won't come off. Can you still help?

Usually, yes. Wheels can seize to the hub through corrosion, especially on cars that don't have the wheels off often. We carry the tools to release a stuck wheel safely. If a wheel is badly corroded or the studs are damaged, we'll tell you straight away rather than force it.

How often should I check my tyre pressures?

About once a month, and before any long journey. Check them when the tyres are cold, and use the pressures for your car, which are usually on a sticker inside the driver's door frame, inside the fuel flap or in the handbook. Correct pressures mean better grip, longer tyre life and lower fuel use.

There's a bulge in my tyre's sidewall. Is it dangerous?

Treat it as urgent. A bulge or egg-shaped lump means the internal structure has been damaged, usually by a kerb or pothole, and the tyre can fail without warning. It can't be repaired, so the tyre needs replacing. Avoid driving on it any further than you must, and call us to come to you.
